Matlock

Matlock is a American television drama that is legal, starring Andy Griffith in the title role of defense attorney Ben Matlock. The series, created Dean Hargrove Productions, by The Fred Silverman Company, Viacom Productions and Paramount Television aired from September 2-3, 1986 on NBC to May 8, 1992. And out of November 5, 1992 before May 7, 1995 on ABC. The show's format is very similar to that of the Perry Mason of CBS, with Matlock facing them in dramatic courtroom scenes and identifying the perpetrators. 1 big difference, however, was whereas Mason usually exculpated his clients in a pretrial hearing, Matlock usually procured an acquittal by the prosecution, at trial.
