Fill the Void
Eighteen-year-old Shira will be this Mendelman family's daughter. She is about to be married to a promising child of the age and background. It is a dream become a reality, and Shira feels excited and prepared. On Purim, Esther, her twenty-eight-year-old sister, dies while giving birth to her first child, Mordechay. The pain and despair that overwhelm the household postpone Shira's guaranteed match. Everything changes when a match is proposed to Yochay-Esther's overdue husband-to a widow out of Belgium.
