The Long Shot
Annie Garret is a young woman who goes with her irresponsible husband Ross and their daughter Taylor out of Colorado to a ranch in California where Ross abandons them after he fails to land work. Without the money and no friends, and Taylor and Annie's prized racehorse, Tolo, to check later, Annie lands a job in a ranch hand and also stable person in a stud farm owned by the stern Mary Lou O'Brien who's concealing a few person demons of her . Despite Annie's own setbacks in life, by inputting her horse at a riding contest that is HighStakes she decides to find an outing. But when her horse moves blind from a race illness, Annie must fight with her hardships.
