Medical Investigation
Medical Diagnosis was an American medical drama tv series which began September 9, 2004, on NBC. It ran for 20 one-hour episodes before being cancelled in 2005. The series was co-produced by Paramount Network Television and NBC Universal Television Studio The American distribution rights, even while the latter distributes outside the united states.
The series featured the instances of an elite group of professionals in the National Institutes of Health who research odd public health crises, such as sudden outbreaks of mysterious and serious diseases. Actually, medical duties in the USA are the responsibility of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and community health departments, while the NIH is a disease-research and -theory company.
The series existed as Third Watch as well as by extension ER in exactly the same tv universe. A exceptional two-part cross over event aired on February 18, 2005, demonstrating the television-universe connection by incorporating the next Watch and Medical Investigation teams working together in MI's Episode 17:"Half Life" and Third Watch's Episode 16 of the sixth summer:"In the Family Way". The story was of a string of Marburg virus cases.
