Infinite Stratos

In the future, a Japanese scientist engineers a powered exoskeleton known as"Infinite Stratos" (IS). Possessing technology and combat skills exceeding those of every other arms system, the IS threatens to infect the entire world. Faced with such an over powered weapon, the more nations of the world enact the"Alaska Treaty", which states IS shall never be utilized for civic combat, also that existing IS technology has to be equally distributed to most nations, to stop any one nation from controlling others. The debut of the IS does, however, have a big effect on society. As women can only operate IS, there's a shift in the power balance between men and women. A decade following the IS was initially introduced, the world has entered a new era of peace. Ichika Orimura, a boy shatters, however, the peace. In a coincidental run-in with a (hibernating) IS lawsuit, it's shown he owns the innate ability to use an IS. Realizing the potential, the government forces that the bewildered young man to wait a academy by which IS pilots from all over the world are trained, the prestigious Infinite Stratos Academy. Thushe starts a busy senior high school life surrounded by girls.
