The series is one of the few television shows to have regular American exposure. In Canadait was the highest ranked Canadian as it aired in primetime on Global Television, made cartoon series.
The show revolved around two dogs called Elizabeth and William, a class working couple with no children and a married British couple called Bob and Margaret Fish. Bob is just a dentist and Margaret can be just a chiropodist. Margaret and bob struggle with life crisis and everyday issues. Stories usually revolve round the mundane, however relatable. From the trials to dealing with friends who annoy them of shopping but owe them a dinner.
In the very first two seasons, Bob and Margaret resided in England. Into Toronto, Canada, nevertheless they transferred for the fourth and third seasons, allowing the writers to explore civilization clash's humour. The realities of financing inspired the movement, together with certain tax benefits influenced by stories established in Canada. Therefore, to maintain the chain funded, the movement was necessary.
