The Olive Tree
The family of alma was producing quality olive oil in the Baix Maestrat section of Spain's Castellón for generations. Still changing pressures from the industry have made their traditional methods untenable, and the family is in the poultry enterprise. The grandfather of alma hasn't talked in years. Sadness envelopes him, and he wants to eat. His sons -- uncle and Alma's dad -- are somewhat all unhappy with him , but her grandfather is understood by Alma. She recognizes that he sold to pay some debts and was occupying that the family has uprooted. (A sadly common reality in Castellón today ) Unable to accept the concept that her grandfather might perish without seeing with this wrong corrected, Alma undertakes a mission to locate the shrub so that her grandfather might have peace in his last days and return into the family orchard.
