Reaching for the Moon
In 1951 New York poet Elizabeth Bishop travels to stop by Mary. The shy Elizabeth is overwhelmed by sensuality. She's the antithesis to Mary partner, architect Lota de Macedo Soares. The architect makes a play to Elizabeth, although frosty at first and Lota's progress are finally succumbed to by the poet. Unconventional Lota is made to possess women at all costs, although mary is jealous. If Lota starts focus on her job to date balance has been thrown off. Elizabeth takes an academic education article in the USA and the women drift. Lota, in all times brimming with self confidence, is inconsolable.
