Gripped: Climbing the Killer Pillar

Gripped is a feature-length rock-climbing survival epic set in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Rose, a Los Angeles gym climber, goes on her first outdoor climb in Gripped. Rose meets Bret, an experienced outdoorsman, while climbing with Jade. She persuades him to take her on the notoriously difficult "Killer Pillar" path. Bret falls and injures his head and shoulder. Rose must lead the path to the top. They have a long distance to go and must bivouac on a cliffside ledge at night. Bret loses consciousness the next day when a storm approaches. Rose must save them both.
