A Night at the Garden
This picture consists of archival materials. It was nominated for the Oscar at 20-19 at the Best Documentary Short Subject category (and has been a part of this Short Film Program at the Sundance Film Festival), and shows us an almost abandoned meeting that occurred in the Madison Square Garden, New York's most famous stadium - the meeting which happened by the German American Bund, a Nazi association. It's 1939, and at the giant Americans happen to be making announcements about white supremacy knowing as soon as it invades Poland into what horrors for the world and Europe will likely the regime turn to in just seven months. A Night at the Garden proves to be a chillingly relevant picture for a America that saw yet another splash of violence.
